Tuesday's blessings consisted of saying goodbye to Slim and Pat. How could saying goodbye be a blessings? Well, if we had never met this wonderful couple, we wouldn't be able to know how much we will miss them until we all return in the Fall. God bless your travels and your summer, Pat and Slim!
I picked up Snookie about 11:30 AM and we went to Casa Grande to have lunch and run a few errands. Snookie gave me the sad news that Don and Billee Walrath lost their son-in-law Sunday in a tragic motorcycle accident. Their daughter, Cindy, was also injured. Don and Billee flew home immediately and Wilf and Marilyn will be taking their truck and RV home to them later this month. Please pray for all of them during this time. Snookie and I enjoyed our time together, but there was certainly a cloud of sadness that surrounded us as our hearts are broken for Don and Billee.
Tonight, Lori and Tim Pruit, our Experiencing God leaders, provided a delicious Mexican dinner for us before our last class. Tim is serving up the hot salsa.Lori chats with Derreck before everyone arrives.Tim begins our final class. In this picture is Don Baker (on the left) and Don Baker (on the right). They will both tell you that they are brothers. We met Don last year and this season we were thrill that he was taking Experiencing God, too. Almost everywhere we go, we meet or hear of another Don Baker. In Branson, people where always asking Don if he was "the man selling life insurance?" Don would say, "Yes, except the life insurance I'm 'selling' is FREE!"
We are so blessed.
"That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved." Romans 10:9-10
