First, we want to wish granddaughter,
Lydia,
HAPPY 12th BIRTHDAY!!
(This picture was taken while we were in Oklahoma this past summer.)
Last Sunday, the bicycle club was out in force.
On our way to see Joel and Linda today, the skydivers were out in force. Don't worry, they are way on the other side of those wires.
Joel was walking back from the club house when we arrived. It is so good to see this sweet couple that we met in 2008 in Coffeyville, Kansas while serving as the chaplain for the workampers working at Amazon.com. Joel was so faithful to help me lead singing every Sunday while we were there.
Linda peeks out of their new Vista Cruiser.
They are parked in the shadow of this mountain... Picacho (Peak) Peak.
The offices, meeting rooms, activity rooms and laundry facilities. Swimming pool is behind these buildings.
Linda prepared scrumptious hot pulled pork burritos and homemade guacamole for lunch. Our first time for port burritos and they were so good. After lunch, they came over to Sunscape and visited with us at the Q and we played several games of Zilch, the game they taught us how to play in Coffeyville. At 7:00 PM, we went up to the community center to listen to the jammers for a little while. Joel and Linda are going to be in the area for a week, so we will get to spend more time with them before they move on down the road.
On the way back to the Q, I finally got a pretty decent picture of the snow-sheep from Wyoming in an alfalfa field here in the desert valley. There are hundreds of sheep here now.
