Choir practice this morning after getting there in the rain. It rained all night long, after the wind storm passed.
Sleet was even part of today's weather. So, in the last twenty-four hours we have had, very cool temperatures, brief sunshine, clouds, lots of dust, mega high winds, a threat of tornados, thunder, lots of rain, and sleet. The white stuff in this picture is sleet that came off the top of our neighbors park model through the down spout.
At four o'clock, we walked to the park model behind us, Jim and Ellie's, for GH's birthday dinner and party.
Hostess, Ellie, and Birthday "Boy" ex-pastor, and master accordion player, GH.
If anyone can successfully get thirty people into a park model with a place setting for each, it's Jim and Ellie!
Relish platter with apple dove in the center, created by Danny, friend of Jim and Ellie for forty-three years.
Fruit relish platter created by Danny.
GH is first in line. His lovely wife, Pat, is beside him.
Another table in the living room, and another small table beyond that door, which was later taken off it's hinges for a more open feeling. Jim and Ellie provided a place for at least thirty people in their small park model.
I must ask GH what GH stands for.
Don and Jack, baker of many wonderful desserts and breads.
Jim, host, is sitting by the three empty bottles of sparkling cider, I promise.... it's sparkling cider.
Ethel getting into the party spirit.
And Jack looking strangely like a unicorn or maybe that's like a strange unicorn.
This is Dave Earhart, photographer and Ellie's brother, who took portraits of everyone present.
It was great party and we wish GH many more happy birthdays.
