It's the second Saturday of the month and Craft Fair day at the Community Center. I got a sun visor that also covers the ears which I will photograph at a later day, and one of those cute plastic bag dispensers made out of a dish towel with elastic at both ends.
Out on the CC patio, I met Derek and Vickey McDonald of Alaska Custom Graphics. (His parents are residents here.)
They tow their "lab" in a trailer everywhere they go. Also, they sell wholesale to store owners, etc., for re-sale.
Derek and Vickey are experts at attaching any picture to a tile, cutting board, mouse pad, table top, tray, etc. The tiles they have of the Northern Lights even glow in the dark. Check out their website where you will find a link to send your own pictures they will attach to any item they have and ship it to you. If you want a large quantity of tiles for like a back splash border, they give a discount. These were so cool!!!
Don and I continued our walk and met our neighbors, Jean and Don out in there "Hemi" driven golf cart!
Not really.... a Hemi, that is.
Next, we went to Casa Grande for lunch and a few items. We went to the Dollar Tree where I found wall art!! For a $1 (one dollar) each!! This one I put on the wall in our "water closet."
The other, I placed over the door and very easily seen just before going out. They were so easy to apply.
Norm and Lori Post invited us to dinner and cards tonight at their place. The meal was very delicious... comforting even. Lori made Cinnamon Jell-O. I believe she said she used cherry Jell-O, dissolved Red Hots and cinnamon applesauce. It was absolutely wonderful with pot roast, mashed potatoes, salad and green onions wrapped with deli ham and cream cheese. Thanks, Norm and Lori, for a delightful evening.
We really are quite shocked that the Cowboys beat the Eagles tonight.
Today was a picture perfect day. As far as I could tell on the Weather Channel today, we are in the warmest part of the nation. We are so happy to be here!!
