Back over to Leslie's this morning to continue the "get the house ready to sell" project. The plan had changed from going through the toys to cleaning the carpet. She had rented a "Rug Doctor" and "OxySteam Carpet Cleaner" and we started removing everything from Emma's room. While I cleaned the carpet, Leslie continued painting and Billie started moving furniture out of the dining room. We are really pleased how good the carpets look. It's a good thing they look good because I am so sore tonight and my back hurts like crazy and I would hate to think that I feel this wretched for nothing. But it's worth it. It feels good to help out and do the family thing. Don couldn't stand sitting around, so after his doctor's appointment (must up his b/p meds another 1/2 pill and he has allergies) he got the lawn mower out and mowed the lawn. It's not very big and he took his time, but he's pretty tired tonight, too. And Leslie worried about him mowing, but he was bound and determined to do it, so now it's done and she appreciates it very much. She has to do the trimming, but she likes to do that. That's not the issue... time is the issue and she has to go back to work in the morning.
I declare, that Camden eats like a horse. He's going to be a big boy. His feet and hands are huge now and were when he was born. Emma was thrilled about her clean carpet and she was told the new rule: "No more food or drinks in your room."
The American Idol Singers did an even better job on "Shout to the Lord" tonight. It was absolutely glorious. As Don says, "If that doesn't give you goose bumps, your goose is dead."
