The wind blew hard all night long and even harder around sunrise, but began to die down to a gentle roar by afternoon.
Don was up early, early to get ready to go get his mother and take her to her doctor's appointment at 7:45 AM. Afterwards, Don took us to IHOP for breakfast and then to visit Mama Trudy around 9:00 AM. I walked in a caught a picture of her walking out of the bathroom. I had the camera so didn't get a picture of my "hello" hug, but here's Don and Mama Trudy. She LOVES her son-in-law. He can even boast of being her favorite son-in-law.Mama always enjoys looking at pictures of kids and grandkids.Don's Mama came through her doctor's appointment with no problems. Pace maker check revealed that it will last seven more years before needing to be replaced. Later, when Don took his mother home, I stayed with mama and visited. She had some words stored up. She sure enjoyed her sister, from Utah, spending most of the winter months with her. We're trying to convince Aunt Nella that she needs to get out of the snow and move to Oklahoma. On his way back from his mother's, Don stopped in Purcell and visited with Richard at his Tack & Saddle Shop. He enjoyed seeing Richard again. They're such good friends.
After Boo & Rocket got out of school, LaNae brought them over with their "vehicles" so they could ride. We loved this little electric scooter of Lydia's which will go up to 16 mph. Rocket was a rocket on his bicycle. He could ride without the training wheels, but he tried awhile back and got scared. He'll soon get tired of his sister calling him a 'sissy.' Well, the park manager came out of the office in a little bit and said, "The scooter's got to go." I beg your pardon? It's seems that these streets are considered city streets and Lydia doesn't have a license and her 'vehicle' isn't registered. Party pooper. The kids came inside for snacks and Blaine played a little Yahtzee... still for a few minutes. And Lydia tried to get away from my camera. We loaded them up with bikes and went back to their house just in time to get in out of the rain and hail. LaNae showed me the dresses she has purchased to take to Slovakia for a friends wedding in May. She may steal the spotlight from the bride. Blaine (a pro) taught Don how to Wii bowl. It wouldn't take long for Don to get hooked on Wii.
We are still communicating with DirecTV regarding local channels. No success yet.
I hear my pillow calling me.... (LaVon... LaVon)
