Hi to all,

Today is much better for Bev. The drain tube in her chest cavity and the visit from our very dear friends have given her a much better attitude and outlook. She still has some air left in the chest cavity, an X-ray was taken this morning to be followed by a second later this afternoon. As I read of all your prayers and even getting your friends, total strangers to us, involved in our well being I am just reduced to tears. I want all of you to know how much all of this means to both Bev and I.

Our friend Beth spent the day with Bev yesterday while Paul and I moved all the surviving contents of our trailer to their home in Las Cruces, NM just 218 miles from here. This special couple has alos offered us their home to use as long as needed while Bev continues to recover after leaving rehab. Las Cruces has excellent health care where Bev can get the needed follow-up X-rays to check on her progress. This of course is after she is able to travel.

Bev today is bright, smiling, threatening me on occasion and looks and sounds like the former light of my life. Our family's prayers, our friends by our side, our friends waiting for our calls to help in any way, and the prayers from all of you and your friends you've asked to help us also mean more than we can ever express.

May God bless you all,

Les and Bev Fisher

Hi all,

Today is Sunday, a day of thanks for our well being, our family and our friends. Beverly had a little discomfort over the evening but re-positioning seems to relieve that particular pain. Today has been a good day for her. Our friends paid another visit and joined her for lunch prior to leaving for their next destination. They gave Beverly a big boost in moral as did Denise the week prior.

Bev had her daily X-ray to check on the air and fluids in her chest cavity but being Sunday we've received no results from that check up. I think that is good news because no one came hurrying in with changes to the routine. She is presently eating her dinner, which surprisingly is very good for hospital food. I know because before regaining her appetite I enjoyed eating what she did not.

Our friends and I, judging by the improvement in just two days predict she'll soon be going to rehab. Both she and I will learn how to get her up as necessary and to get her in a condition to get out of bed on her own. They would like to keep her in the brace 24/7 but they don't know my wife and the pressure she can exert on her husband to do otherwise. Time will tell.

The last couple of days have been encouraging for both of us and all of your prayers for us are being answered. I apologize for the generic response to all of the kind words of encouragement all of you have given us. We appreciate it more than we can adequately express.

We'll keep you all posted as best we can, Thanks & love to all, Les and Bev

Don called Les Saturday and talked with him for a few minutes and prayed with him.  What a trying time this has been for them, but we are praising God for answered prayer.  Thanks to everyone for your prayers and blessings to the friends who so generously have offered their home to Les & Bev.
