from Nancy & George Reid 4/13/08

Until Nancy finds time to start a blog, this will serve to let all you Quail Run-ites know what's going on with G & N. Keep those emails coming, "Killer!" They wrote:

Hi LaVon and Don,

Hope this finds you well and that Don is over the cold he had. We had a great week in Yuma. Took care of our dental stuff and the eye Dr. in Mexico, and thoroughly enjoyed visiting with some friends there that we've known since our days in Washington. Went out to eat, and to the fleas market and a dance and a play and played cards. Found a good church--especially enjoyed the music, but missed Don's preaching.

The winch that George installed before we left didn't really work right, so he returned that and installed another and that didn't do the trick either. So when we get to Las Vegas tomorrow, we'll return it and get another at Harbor Frieght. We'll get this right yet!!!!

Bullhead City was okay, but now we've been in Boulder City, just outside of Vegas, for four days and we've really enjoyed it here. Staying at an Elks Club. We just like the little town feel where we can walk all over--post office, grocery store, bank, hardware store, church. And we loved the church this morning!! Probably less than 100 people, A good mixture of traditional and contempory music and an excellent sermon. Young pastor with lots of stories (like Don!). Then this afternoon, we went with them to a tiny black church in north Las Vegas to help them celebrate their 19th anniversary as a church. So neat and they served us quite a dinner!

We rented a movie last night titled Amazing Grace. Good movie; I think you'd like it too.

Just wanted to touch base with you guys. Take care, God bless-

George and Nancy
