Wow! The week-end fairly flew by and it’s Monday already and time to move on to Indy for a few days to visit forever friend, Liz and her brood.
We said our “so long’s” to Kim and Mitch. (Pray for Mitch and Silas as they travel to India tomorrow. Kim could probably use a few prayers, too, while they are away.)
We arrived at our destination around 1:00 PM. Got parked easily and quickly. Spotted this across the street from us and had to take a picture.
There is another nice “catch and release” pond here, too.
We headed over to Liz’s about 6:30 and we could hear Meghan squealing when I knocked on the door as she ran to greet us. Big hugs!!! I remember so well when she was born 26 years ago….. “wonderful baby-child.”
Liz took us to Gray Brothers Cafeteria where we all thoroughly enjoyed.
From the restaurant, we stopped at the Value Market where the twins, Jake and Wes, 19, work in the meat market. We completely embarrassed them as we stood to one side giggling and taking pictures of them. I told one patron to “excuse the paparazzi.”
Next, we had to go see Meghan’s new house. Really cute three bedroom 2 bath in a nice neighborhood. The huge backyard was the drawing card for Meghan and her lab-child.
I did manage to take two nature shots while at Meghan’s house. The neighbor’s sunflower and…
Meghan’s pet “walking stick” that she screamed at and ran from. Ever hear of anyone dying from a preying mantis attack? Typically known as the good insect that eats bad insects… in the good insect category with the lady bug.
By the time we got back to Liz’s house, Jake was home from work and relaxing.
Tomorrow we hope to see Wes and Aly, who had gone to the Old Settler’s Festival with friends. Oldest boy, David (Bubba, to me), lives and works in the Dallas area.
Already, the heat has increased from just over a hundred miles north. It’s hot in Indy!!! Stifling. I’m tired and going to Z-land early tonight. Blessings and cooler temperatures for all.
