Few things speak to my soul like inspired words put to music. The song that I am in love with this week is Beautiful, Scandalous Night by Sixpence None the Richer. This song points to Jesus Christ and the Cross, His mercy, and His salvation for me in such a beautiful way. Read the words as you listen to this song. Refer back to this post as often as you like. You will be blessed.
Beautiful, Scandalous Night by Sixpence None the Richer
Go on up to the mountain of mercy,
To the crimson perpetual tide.
Kneel down on the shore,
Be thirsty no more,
Go under and be purified.
Follow Christ to the Holy Mountain,
Sinner, sorry and wrecked by the fall,
Cleanse your heart and your soul.
In the fountain that flows,
For you and for me and for all
[Chorus]
At the wonderful tragic mysterious tree,
On that beautiful scandalous night you and me,
Were atoned by His blood and forever washed white,
On that beautiful scandalous night.
On the hillside you will be delivered,
At the foot of the cross, justified.
And your spirit restored,
By the river that pours,
From our blessed Saviour's side
[Chorus]
At the wonderful tragic mysterious tree,
On that beautiful scandalous night you and me,
Were atoned by His blood and forever washed white,
On that beautiful scandalous night.
Bridge,
You carry the sin of mankind on your back,
And the sky went black.
Go on up to the mountain of mercy,
To the crimson perpetual tide.
Kneel down on the shore,
Be thirsty no more,
Go under and be purified.
[Chorus]
At the wonderful tragic mysterious tree,
On that beautiful scandalous night you and me,
Were atoned by His blood and forever washed white,
On that beautiful scandalous night.
[Chorus]
At the wonderful tragic mysterious tree,
On that beautiful scandalous night you and me,
Were atoned by His blood and forever washed white,
On that beautiful scandalous night.
On that beautiful scandalous night,
Beautiful scandalous,
Miraculous night...

Thanks so much LaVon and Don! Shame we didn't get to meet while we were at Quail Run. Yes, Snookie and Bob are a "trip" and good people. It was great seeing them again. We should be seeing them again late next month in Gillette, WY for the Escapees Escapade. We are looking forward to it.
When Snookie added "Friends Blogs" to their site, I checked yours out. Great site! We like it so much, I hope you don't mind, we added things such as the Playlist player and Daily Bible Verse that we saw on yours to ours. We have also added your blog to our favorites. Oh and congratulations on your two year wedding anniversary and sure hope Don is feeling better!?
In Christian Love,
Bobby and Shelly
