Well, actually we spent the morning in Bixby at Logan's Field Day. Logan humored his mom and I so we could take his picture hula hooping, but then it was on to the baseball area. Not to boast, but Logan hit the ball consistently further than any other kid. Don, Stephanie and I found ourselves in the outfield shagging hits. (Notice the arm position of Don and daughter. :-)) All the kids, except one were only interested in batting, but Maxximus would hit the ball and then go chase it, so we told him he could stand outfield with us to chase the balls. He's was too cute and quite proud of his name. We called him Max for short. On the way back to the house, I took these pictures of the very full Arkansas River and downtown Tulsa skyline. After a much needed nap this afternoon (when I was supposed to be emptying boxes and putting things away), we met Steph and family at Ron's Hamburgers & Chili Est. 1975 for dinner before Taylor's baseball game. Meet Taylor and .... Kristina. Kristina enjoyed the game and a good book. Tonight, I have been catching up on reading blogs. If you haven't looked at Snookie's pictures of Bryce Canyon, you must! Just click on the Quinn's Awesome Journey on the right. So, I had to call Snookie and tell her how awesome the pictures were and to thank her for the two pictures of two lovely dead trees. I'm thrilled that she is beginning to appreciate the beauty of a dead tree. While we were talking, I was describing the interior of our new home and taking a few pictures of part of the kitchen area that we have presentable. Frig, stove, microwave/convection combo/counter area: The entertainment area/fireplace, pantry, frig, & stoves are all part of one of the super-sli des. Excuse the boxes. The fireplace (that we wish we had had in Arizona this past winter). Don's happy place... half of the other super-slide with the couch. Click to enlarge for a better view of the couch print. That's all for tonight/this morning. We are having too much fun learning about our new home and praising God. Stay tuned for the rest of the kitchen, computer area, dining area, bathroom and bedroom!
