Urgent Prayer Request posted on Bring the Rain

"Urgent Prayer Request

I can't think of a faster, more efficient way to mobilize prayer than to post this here...

Please, please pray (right now!) for Steven Curtis Chapman and his family. Details are still in process, but it appears that one of his sons was pulling into their driveway this evening and did not see his sister (5 year old Maria..adopted from China) in front of him.  She was struck by the car and killed.

I have met him, but do not know him personally, although his reputation as a Christ-centered man precedes him.  I cannot imagine what they are going through right now.

Please pray specifically for peace tonight in the midst of the storm. Feel free to leave those prayers here in the comments section, as well as any scriptures you feel you have been led to pray for them.  There is power in the living word of God...power that a dear family needs tonight.

Thank you-

Angie"

This is so tragic.  If you don't know who Steven Curtis Chapman is, see >> http://www.stevencurtischapman.com/

There's a video of Steven Curtis singing "Cinderella" under "I Love Music" in the menu on the right.

Pray with me:

Gracious and Merciful Heavenly Father, Who is now holding precious Maria Chapman in your arms.  Lord, comfort this family as only You can.  We don't understand all we see and hear, but we know there is a fierce spiritual battle going on; our enemy satan, is doing all he can to hinder the Gospel and divert the attention of Believers and those spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ.  At this moment, and during this time of sadness, we praise You, Lord God, and acknowledge You as good and just as Your Word promises.  In the name of Jesus, bring good out of this tragedy.  Be with the brother who was driving the car and protect him from satan's attacks.  Jesus, present the groaning's of all our hearts to the Father.  We praise You that it is because of Your love, Jesus, that we are welcomed in the presence of God our Father with these requests and praises.  O God, my mind goes in so many directions and all I can think of now to pray is "Be glorified." In Jesus Name. Amen.

Please pray anything else that God lays on your heart and we will agree together before the Throne.
