More Desert Color

Monday was another great day beginning with Ladies' Bible Study with two new faces.  Marie is in the park for a week from Honolulu.  Why would you want to be in the desert if you live in paradise? But anyway, it was great to have her.  She and husband Jeff will be back to Sunscape in October.  Barb hasn't been able to attend before now because two of their grandkids live with them and her husband is also facing open heart surgery on the 30th, next Monday.  Thank you for your prayers for Dan.

Tuesday morning we had another great and sweet time of intercessory prayer at the Quantum.  We are just getting so close to these wonderful brothers and sisters in the Lord.

Wednesday, Don led the Men's Bible Study and had about ten guys there.  They all got to meet Jeff from Honolulu.

Every day we have someone stop by the RV to give more money for "our kids" to be able to go to church camp.  We are invested in them now, so they are now "our kids," a relationship that we pray continues to grow as we pray for them and help them any way we can to realize God's awesome plan for their lives.

Late in the after, I got on the bike, with my camera, and rode around to take more pictures of spring color.  This hedge is along the wall at the entrance to the park.  I think this is a Bottle Bush, but you know me... I'm not sure.  Anyway, I love the effect of the late afternoon sun on these pictures.

Arizona, USA and Canada flags Oleander is a very popular and hardy shrub here and grows quite large if left alone.  The blooms vary in shades and colors.  Here the shadows are dancing as the wind blows the limbs.Oleander This succulent is probably ten feet tall.  You can't see the base, but it's probably some variety of yucca.  All these buds will soon be blooms.  I can't wait.all these little buds will be blooms soon

The common, but gorgeous Beaver Tail.100_3021More Oleander.Oleander This is a landscaped area after you enter the gate just past the Welcome Center and beside the Club House.100_3025 I do believe this is the largest Ocotillo I've seen anywhere and it's right here in our park in the swimming pool area.ocotillo by the pool More cactus roses.100_3027 OK, dilemma... these flowers look almost identical to the Bottle Brush by the front gate, but this plant is completely different, a tree almost with branches that hang down kind of like a willow or an olive tree.Bottle Brush tree However, this flower looks even more like a bottle brush than the other, so I need an education.  Sure wish folks would label their plants like Toma does. Bottle Brush Just a little desert wild life scurrying around.  Can you find the lizard?do you see the lizard? Tonight, we watched AI.  Did you know that about four or five of the final ten contestants have been, at one time of their lives, worship leaders in their home churches, including the sixteen year old girl?  Wow!  That's so cool!  Last night, she was our favorite.

Thank you so much for your prayers for us, for the folks in this park, for those traveling, for "our kids," and for Christian Resort Ministries.

We are so blessed.

You are so blessed because you bless so many. Our son and his family have found a great church and the kids are in Awanas and they can tell the difference in their lives. God is good all the time. Love you guys.
