Couples' Bible Study Thursday

Don and I took a stroll around the block this morning.  When we got back, Toma summoned me to come with camera.  The RED Claret Cup Hedgehog had two blooms open!Red Claret Cup Hedgehog cactus This view shows you why it's called a Claret Cup.Red Claret Cup Hedgehog cactus The Apricot Claret Cup Hedgehog is very happy today.Apricot Claret Cup Hedgehog cactus And the Beaver Tail is spreading it's joy, too. True Achievement by David Jeremiah

And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers…
Ephesians 4:11

Romans 12:3-8

Picture this scenario: two friends graduate from college; one goes to India as a missionary and the other becomes a successful businessman. They both receive an invitation to their class reunion and while there, they compare their lives. By the world's standard, the missionary might be considered a failure, while the businessman has achieved "The American Dream." But this is not how they viewed each other. True achievement for each friend was listening to and obeying God's voice saying, "Follow Me."

God has uniquely designed and equipped each one of us for a specific purpose while here on earth. While it's true that we can choose to go our own way and become "self-made people" so to speak, if we truly want to be successful by God's standards, we have to put aside worldly ambitions and trust God to place us in the position where we can best be used by Him. It is a high calling to carry out; but whether we are led into ministry or called to a corporate career, we truly can be what God calls us to be.

I know success or failure in my life or ministry does not depend on my own skill or even on external circumstances, it depends only on my faithfulness. God will give me the gifts necessary to do whatever He calls me to do and He will not be hindered in His work by circumstances. - Lester Sumrall

We are so blessed.
