The Ladies' Bible Study just gets better and better. Today, the name of God that we studied was JEHOVAH, which is translated in our Bibles as LORD. In Hebrew, it's YHWH (Yahweh) and means the self-existent One. Jehovah described Himself to Moses in Exodus 3 as "I AM WHO I AM." We discussed how some people want the existence of God to be explained or proven in a way that suits them. The answer to them is: If we as humans could explain God's existence or God's beginning, He would not be God. To believe in Him requires faith and we can only be pleasing to Him if we exercise that faith everyday.
One of the ladies is leaving tomorrow morning, so she came over to the Quantum to tell us good-bye and she also gave me a beautiful bracelet that she made. She gave us a card, too, and wouldn't let us read it until she left. It was so sweet and so encouraging, it made me cry. Judy and Bill are wonderful Christian friends and we will miss them very much and look forward to being with them next winter.
We had several stop by today. Folks are getting to know us and getting more comfortable with dropping by to visit. We love that.
As I was riding my bike this afternoon, I saw this Apricot Claret Cup cactus in bloom.
