It's Friday & Flowers

We were at the Casa Grande VA Clinic before 9:15 this morning to get Don's blood pressure checked and blood draw for potassium, etc. check. Blood pressure was a smidgeon high, but tonight it's down. Looks like he may need to 'up' his bp meds another 10 mg.

While we were waiting for the lab to call Don in, I received a phone call from a friend in Branson. It was great to talk to Cami (for almost an hour). She had just read an email from Don telling them that we are going back to Branson. We got caught up on each others lives, sort of. Her husband was the worship leader for us last summer in Branson at the KOA and Oak Grove RV park and he did a wonderful job. We had no idea what we were going to do for music when we arrived in Branson, but God already had Mike in place and they lived right across the park street from us. Don got an email from him this morning and Mike is ready to do the same this summer. AWESOME! Mike plays the piano/keyboard & sings. God is faithful. We can't wait to see Dani, Asa, Levi, Joshua and Caleb, too! .... Mike & Camille's progeny.
I love spring! There was bougainvilla beginning to bloom outside the clinic. Beautiful. Now, here I need some help identifying flowers. What is this? And this? Remember, it's Date Friday. Don & I went to the matinee and saw "Bonnieville." We both like Jessica Lange and she was great in this movie. "August Rush" is still the best movie we've since, lately. Outside the theater, again, people were sitting in the plaza enjoying the sunshine. This flower I recognize as the geranium. The word 'glorious" comes to mind, which reminds me of the Master Artist of all this beauty. And look at that lucious green grass! Anyone know what this is? It's purple. May be in the Morning Glory family? Don't know what this plant is, either. Or this? They're all so vivid and beautiful. Things I love: horses & flowers. (partial list) After the movie, we stopped by the hospital to check on Barb, from here in the park, who had gall bladder surgery today. She was back in her room and doing good. We visited a few minutes, but didn't want to tire her. Don prayed for Barb and we left her to rest or get up and walk, whichever the doctor had ordered. Hopefully, she will get to come 'home' tomorrow.
Dave & Darlene got home from Las Vegas last night so we got together tonight for a couple of games of Farkel. Also enjoyed seeing the pictures of Vegas and the Hoover Dam. Darlene took some good pictures of the new Hoover Dam bypass bridge. Wow.

I make this mistake ALL the time! but then, I remember George Clooney in "o brother, where art thou?"

prodigy: noun: a highly talented child or youth

progeny: noun: descendants, children

can't help you on the flowers!
