Valentine's Day Eve

Our good friends & neighbors, Darlene & Dave left Monday for San Diego. We sure do miss them, but pray they have a safe trip and a wonderful time. Can't wait until they return to hear about all their sightseeing and see the pictures. Darlene takes great pictures.

Praise the Lord! the laundry is done. No, it wasn't magic... I did it.

Don spent most of the morning visiting with residents and work-campers. And the early afternoon resting. He got the water filter installed that Bob gave him yesterday. Water pressure and clean water... we are blessed.

Received an email from a DF: This site has a lot of stuff. So why do searches? Just click on your favorite icon. http://www.allmyfaves.com/ Someone sure has a lot of free time. Maybe it's the same person who created those emails with all the recipes linked to the email: holiday recipes, cookie recipes, candy recipes, cake recipes.

Tonight was the long awaited for Valentine Dinner & Dance. The line was long behind us. Who's surprised that we were at the front of the line????It was a perfect opportunity to get all dressed up and go to dinner with my Sweetheart. We weren't the only ones that enjoyed dressing up. We waited in line for the doors to open with Darrell & Barbara. The Activities Dept. staged the whole thing wonderfully. The dinner was a sit down affair with the Activities folks serving the meal. Decorations were beautiful. (Walt & Shirley here)They really did a splendid job. At our table was Ron & Jane Speedy, Pat & Bonnie Meyer, (that's Bonnie on Jane's right; sorry, I didn't get Pat's pic)Walt & Shirley Small, & Lyell & Kathy Weyers. Instead of staying for the dance, we had been invited to George & Nancy's to play Farkel. George and Nancy are on duty as Park Hosts, so they were unable to attend the dance. We were happy to accept their invitation and had a great time.
