Marvelous Monday

Even though it's very cool and raining, it's a marvelous Monday. For all who stood with us in prayer regarding our "unspoken" prayer request, we've received news that is extremely praise-worthy and confirmation that God is faithful when we pray, believing. Join us as we praise God. Thank you for believing as we continue to trust Him to be victorious in all areas regarding this prayer request.

I know, I don't post about it very often, but our time together in God's Word and praying together each morning is the sweetest, most uplifting part of our day. Every morning we read the daily devotionals of David Jeremiah's Turning Point and Dr. Charles Stanley's In Touch. This month is "Love" month and is the topic in both devotionals. The devotionals have been so good and I encourage everyone to read them. Better still, read them with someone you love.

Also, just found out that Chip Ingram has a TV program on DirecTV channel 378, Monday nights @ 7:00 PM EST. That's 5:00 PM here, 6:00 PM CST, 4:00 PM for west coast ... but you knew that. Chip's topic right now is Five Lies that Ruin Relationships. Knowing Chip, this will be an excellent series, jam-packed full of insights from God's word. I have to give you a little history about Chip. In a previous life, Chip was our pastor, when the girls where in jr. high and high school. We attended Kaufman Country Bible Church in Kaufman, Texas where Chip begin his pastoral career fresh out of Dallas Theological Seminary. We loved him and grew in the Lord under his teaching - Chip's a tremendous Bible teacher. He was with us for 8 years and then was called to the Santa Cruz Bible Church in California, where he was pastor for 12 years. You can read his bio on the website.

Since it's chilly and rainy, only Don has been out today when he went to the Men's Bible Study. We've spent the day inside, planning future day trips of sightseeing and our route to family in April. Looking at summer site possibilities. Talking to friends and family on the phone. Chatting with friends on IM.

BTW, we have a Farkel dilemma. Don wanted me to ask Tammy: how do you score 3 ones? 300 or 1000? Some rules say one, some say the other.

Glorious sunset and cloud color this evening. Will post pics later when computer will allow it.

Lovely day you spent cozied inside your little 'hut'. That's what I love to do on rainy days whether the 'hut' is an RV or 3K sq.ft. But, the rain comes so often here, that I can't justify it as often!

To answer the Farkle question: IF you roll three 'ones' at one time, you score it '1000'. Woo Hoo! Roll again! However, if you roll two '1s', then on the next roll, you roll one '1', then you only score it 200 on the first roll, then 100 on the next, making 300. Make sense? like mud!
