Sensational Sunday

The angels in the heavens are rejoicing! John and Margie Cartwright brought their beautiful 8 year old granddaughter, Anna, to church service with them this morning. This being Valentine Day week, Don preached "What Is Love?" from the love chapter, I Corinthians 13. Just like God, we appropriately sang, "Jesus Loves Me" ... and I feel like we sang that song for all of us, but especially for little Anna. During our after-church fellowship, Anna approached Don and asked him to sign her bulletin, which had, on the inside, a big heart that said, "You Are Loved." When he asked her why she wanted him to sign her bulletin, she said, "Because I asked Jesus into my heart this morning." Don asked her if he could pray with her and she said, "yes" and of course, he signed her bulletin and wrote, "today Anna was saved." Yes, we are still rejoicing and praising Jesus Christ. Hopefully, Don will have the privilege of baptizing Anna before we leave the 1st of April. We are having a sensational Sunday!

This afternoon, our neighbors Snookie & Bob hosted a block party. There were about 35 people in lawn chairs between our "houses" and we had a great time. Everyone brought meat for themselves, a dish to share, and their chairs. We played ladder golf and everyone had a good time either playing or watching. Carol & Steve. Donna & Bill Don & JoAnne Pam Don & Sue Barb & Terry Lee & Pam George & Jo Terry, Don & Bob Richard, recently broke his leg in two places in a 4-wheeler accident. Don & Billie Linda Poyer Janet & Chuck Snookie set up the Ladder Golf game and we had so much fun with this game that I have never played before. Don & I decided we have to get one made. Get ready family. There is Ladder Golf in your future. You'll love it.

Carol JoAnne Krazy Don (not Baker) Pam (such concentration) Snookie Darlene Donna Steve Some lady that showed up, so we were nice and let her stay 'cuz she was having so much fun. Krazy Don decided we were the champions and awarded us with medals. That's Bill, from the runner-up team... Krazy Don made him a medal, too, but it was silver not gold. Actually, Krazy Don won the gold medal, I just happened to be his partner. You guessed it, Don is a lot of fun and really gets things going around here. Horseshoes, skeet shooting, olympics... he just loves to see folks having a good time.
Tonight, we were invited to Tom & Sharon's "house" for dinner. She made a delicious vegetable beef soup. The meal was so good, but the fellowship was even better. Tom just returned, yesterday, from Oregon and being with his dad the last few days of his life.

Tom is holding timid Paris and Sharon is holding Skeeter.

It's been a beautiful day and we are crazy tired tonight.

God is good... all the time and all the time... God is good.
