A Relaxing Day

Don and I are enjoying just relaxing today. 

We drove around this morning looking for a place to eat breakfast and came up with only McDonald's where they were out of coffee, salsa for my breakfast burrito, strawberry jam for Don's sausage biscuit and napkins.  It seems most of the restaurants are located inside the casinos around here.  I'm sure a person could make a could living opening a Breakfast Cafe here, because we sure saw a lot of disgruntled folks in McDonald's this morning.

Don did go to the local RV place to make an appointment for Monday morning.  It seems several lug bolts were loose on a wheel on the Quantum.  There's also an annoying squeak occasionally from the wheel area, so we want to get that checked out before getting on the road again.

Frieda, my cousin, left school at noon today and came over.  She had errands to run, so I rode around town with her.  When we got back to the Quantum, Don said I needed to take the camera and go take some pictures of some of the biggest roses he ever seen, that are in the park:

This afternoon, we drove around Pahrump a little before going out to Frieda and Ronny's house.  The cloud formations were very interesting, especially over and beyond the mountains that surround this valley.The view from Frieda's backyard has changed in the last few years.  Beyond this wall is a huge housing addition and beautiful golf course which replaces a large hay field.  Where there house is has been zoned for commercial property and their place is for sale.But on the east side of their acre and a half, Ronny still has room to ride his paint mare.Rambo wanted to ride, too.We sat out on the patio and visited until the wind picked up so much the dust drove us inside.  After dinner, we sat around the kitchen table and talked and looked at pictures.  Frieda and I have always wished that we lived closer to each other. I love you, Cuz.
