BIBLE MEDITATION:
“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
John 3:3
DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
Nicodemus was so impressed with the miracles Jesus had done that he wanted to find out more. He asked Jesus about miracles, and Jesus began to talk to him about births. It’s as if Jesus was saying, “Nicodemus, if you want to understand miracles, you’re going to have to become a miracle.” Now Nicodemus was an intelligent man. He was a ruler of the Jews and a Sanhedrin, and yet, with all of his learning, Jesus said to him, “Except you are born again, you cannot see the kingdom of God.” People simply can’t understand spiritual things until the Holy Spirit of God turns the light on in their souls.

I'm sure we can all understand the question Nicodemus asked, "How can I enter a second time into my mother's womb?" because he didn't understand about being "born again."
We are all spirit beings.
"Huh?" You ask. Yes, in Genesis, the Bible states that humans are made in "our image"... the image of God (Spirit) and Jesus Christ (human and Spirit). The Bible states that God is Spirit. We know that as humans, we are created in the image of Jesus Christ as He walked on earth. Nicodemus learned that as human beings, being created with a spirit, it is that spirit within us, our soul, that must be "born again" by the work of the Holy Spirit of God.
If you are having a little trouble understanding, ask God to open your understanding. The very fact that you're interested in understanding is the work of the Holy Spirit. Expect to learn. You're about to have a light bulb moment. The Miracle of the New Birth.
We are so blessed!!
