Blake Ranch to Bar S Ranch

What's up with the ranch theme RV parks?

We've had another perfect travel day as we left Blake Ranch RV Park and Horse Motel  just east of Kingman, AZ, about 8:30 this morning.

The following are a few pictures I took from the truck along the way.  Right away, we experience some pretty extreme grades, but we did just fine.

I-40 northern AZ Somewhere along here is Williams, AZ where we ate breakfast at Pine Country Restaurant and met Mr. and Mrs. Hansen from Beaumont, Texas whose nephew is David Chandler, the head trainer for the Baylor Bears Basketball team and replaced our son-in-law, Khalil Coltrain, when he left Baylor and went to the Corpus Christi Hooks/Round Rock Express as their Director of Facilities. Small world.

Don loves it here in the pine trees.100_5005

NMWe stopped for the night at the Bar S RV Park in Milan not far from Grants, NM.  The site is perfectly level, so we didn't unhook from the truck, but walked the short distance to the Kiva Kafe for dinner.  The best part about the dinner was the company across the table from me.

So that's how we spent our third anniversary.  Exactly the way we love it... traveling and seeing different sights.
