Parker, AZ to Pahrump, NV

Our goal was to leave Parker about 9:00 AM.  We had crossed the Colorado River a few minutes after 8:00 AM, so we were doing really good.

Only took a "few" good pictures on the road to Parhrump, NV.  At a stretch of US 95, the ocotillo were loaded with blooms.California Ocotillo Into Nevada, we begin to see Joshua trees...Joshua tree--going up US95 in Nevada... everywhere.Joshua tree--going up US95 in NevadaNow we are in LasVegas.LasVegas-going up US95 in NevadaLooks like a nice pine tree, doesn't it?  Look closely and you will see cell phone receptor type things. I remember thinking at the time I took this picture, "I bet I'm the only person who ever took a picture of this "tree."  And then, I read The Traveling Cardinals!  Peggy, isn't that wild?LasVegas-going up US95 in NevadaOn our way to Pahrump, the tallest mountains still have snow.going up US95 in Nevada
