It's Sunday.

First things first:  You MUST go to Snookie's blog and read her May 2nd post.  Just one more reason why I LOVE SNOOKIE!!

OK, today is Sunday and it's been a wonderful day.  We went to Pahrump Community Church this morning with Frieda and it was great to be in the house of the Lord worshipping Him with other believers.  It was Communion Sunday at PCC and that is always so meaningful to me.... remembering what Jesus Christ did for me and the whole world.  Sitting beside my sweet cousin made the experience even more special.

After church we went to Mountain Falls Restaurant at the golf course that is right behind Frieda's house.  The food was delicious and the view was beautiful and GREEN.  A good friend and prayer partner of Frieda's, met us for lunch.  I have heard so many wonderful things about Mary and today I got to meet her. Here we are on the veranda after lunch.Frieda, LaVon and Mary at Mountain Falls The view of the lake from the Mountain Falls Golf Course Restaurant veranda.Mountain Falls, Pahrump, NVThe back veranda where some folks are eating lunch.Mountain Falls, Pahrump, NVThe lake and green grass... a big deal only for people who have been in the desert for months.Mountain Falls, Pahrump, NVA small portion of the Mountain Falls Golf Course.Mountain Falls, Pahrump, NV - golf courseMountain Falls Golf Course pro shop and restaurant buildings.Mountain Falls, Pahrump, NVThis afternoon, I did my laundry at Frieda's, but before going there, she showed me a few houses in Pahrump that are caving in.  Her best friend's house is also caving in.  I did not see her friend's house, but I did see these two and one more that I didn't get a picture of because the people are still living in it.  Can you believe this has happened to a new house???!!!Can you believe this?!!No, there has been no earthquake in Pahrump.and there has been no earthquake hereIt's difficult to see all the damage to this new house because of the trees, but trust me, it's bad.100_4950There have been houses being built in the Pahrump Valley for years.  Why would house cave-ins just now be happening?  So sad.a beautiful new home caving inWe had dinner with Frieda and Ronny and watched a Louie Giglio DVD while our laundry finished drying.

We are saddened by the news of dear friends, Frank and Helen Maguire from Quail Run in Arizona City, AZ.  Their 21 year old grandson died of an over dose this past week.  They are grieving, hurting and angry... understandably.  Please pray for their family.

Tomorrow is a traveling day for the Blessed Bakers.  Thank you for your prayers.  God bless you all.
