(Singing) It’s my birthday! It’s my birthday!
Went to work this morning, only because I didn’t let them know it’s my birthday, but it was a great day anyway.
When I took my thirty minute lunch break, Don had my salad ready and a dozen long-stemmed roses! He said it has been too long since he last brought me flowers.
He also said my birthday present was out in the back seat of the truck… grinning.. “A case of bottled water.” So after I finished my lunch, I went out to get the case of bottled water and there was something I’ve been wanting… Yesssssss!
Birthday Girl is one happy camper!!!
Sweet hubby took me out to dinner to LaFour’s Seafood Restaurant. Looking at the menu, he said, “There’s lots of grilled fish selections,” and I replied, “It’s my birthday, I’m having fried catfish and French fries!” My body’s in shock! :-) I did pass on dessert, however, so pat myself on the back. Have no idea where I would have put it.
When we got back to the Q, I checked my emails and found lots of love in my inbox and Facebook. Wow!
It’s has been a wonderfully blessed birthday!
I recently saw a T-shirt on a beautiful white-haired woman that said: “I’m not 80. I’m 18 with 62 years experience.” No matter how old we get, we can still be young at heart—but with the benefit of a well-lived lifetime of knowledge and wisdom. —Cindy Hess Kasper
We can be young in heart and mind,
To others we can yet be kind,
Sing songs of praise to God through tears,
And grow in grace through all our years. —ZimmermanFaithfulness is God’s requirement; fruitfulness is His reward.
