Debbie and I have been great friends for years… almost as long as I have lived in Oklahoma. I’ve watched her two children, Brandy and Jeff, grow up. About four years ago, Debbie and Brandy moved to Montana where Debbie’s sister lives. Jeff stayed in Norman to finish his degree at OU, meet his life mate, get married and yesterday, Jeff and Jessica gave birth to Debbie’s first grandchild, Sloane. It was very hard for Debbie not to be here for the blessed event, so we went today and took pictures to post on FaceBook for her.
Sloane was born in the newest hospital in Norman, OK.
We’re almost to Jessica's room and I am very excited. 
I knocked on the door and heard Jessica say, “Come in,” and this is the scene that greeted my eyes. It was surreal… Jeff holding his baby, but he’s a natural at it. Sloane seems to like sleeping with his hands by his face. 
He did move one hand long enough for me to get this good picture of him sleeping so peacefully. He’s just perfect. 
Jeff talked to us and got us all caught up on his life, which was such a blessing to hear, but the whole time he could hardly keep his eyes off of little Sloane.
Before we left, Don prayed for this sweet family. We left being so blessed and rejoicing on several levels.
God is so good. All the time.
