It’s Perfect

We just can’t stay away from The Creek.  I followed Don down this morning and found him talking to Richard on the phone, describing the beauty of this place.100_3514

We walked the bank watching the fish. 100_3522

The water is crystal clear.100_3523

Think Don has one picked out.  He even got his fishing rod out this morning, but didn’t bring it to the creek.100_3527100_3524

The big house on the hill where Debbie lives, across the highway from the park.  We met Debbie yesterday morning at FBC when we went to church there. 100_3516

I finished a book this afternoon, one I got from the library in the club house while doing laundry Saturday. Needing to get out of the house, I joined Don outside in the folding chairs.  Just down the street…. what in the world is she doing on top of her Class C motorhome?  Washing it, of course.  We walked down and she asked me if I would take a picture of her with her ‘point and shoot’ camera and, of course, I did.  Donna wanted to document how crazy she is so her friends would believe her.  She was funny, instructing me to be sure and get the ground in the picture so viewers would get the full effect… that she had to climb up there.  We asked her if her children knew she was on top of her rig washing it?  NO, they did not.  Donna winters here, but travels summers all over in her Class C.100_3529

For the third night in a row, Don has prepared dinner and served it outside on the picnic table.  We can’t believe how perfect the weather is:  no wind; no dust; very low humidity; mildly warm temps in the afternoon; cool nights; sunshine.  This is the perfect place for resting and rejuvenating.

Joel 2

12 That is why the Lord says,
“Turn to me now, while there is time.
   Give me your hearts.
Come with fasting, weeping, and mourning.
13 Don’t tear your clothing in your grief,
      but tear your hearts instead.”
Return to the Lord your God,
for he is merciful and compassionate,
slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love.
He is eager to relent and not punish.
14 Who knows? Perhaps he will give you a reprieve,
sending you a blessing instead of this curse.
Perhaps you will be able to offer grain and wine
to the Lord your God as before.

PS.. Donna's kids got a big kick out of the pictures of her on top of her rig. They know her!
