We were blessed to spend the afternoon with Wink and Dovie (aka Pop and Mom) and they had a special treat for us, especially Don. We went to visit Annetta, who was Buster Winklemann’s wife when he was living. Buster was Don’s best friend when he lived and worked in Waco in the ‘70’s and early ‘80’s. Don had not seen Annetta since her daughters were very young. And then, tonight, we went to one of Annetta’s granddaughter’s softball game. It was a treat to get to know Annetta and she is making plans to bring her boyfriend to hear Don preach while we are in Kerrville.
Annetta has recently returned to the house she and Buster lived in, remodeled it and it is the coziest two bedroom home. She’s done a great job with it. I loved this wagon on her front porch.
