It is not about me.

‎"It isn’t about us! It’s all about God…and what He wants to do through you." - Dr. Del Tackett, The Truth Project/TruthInAction

And it wasn't about Adam and Eve, or Noah, or Moses or Joseph, or Jonah, or Job, or Ruth, or Joshua and Caleb, or Daniel, or John, or Mary, or Paul, or Matthew, or Mark, or Luke, or Peter.

It was all, all along, about God and His Son, Jesus Christ. Not because He's an egotistical cosmic killjoy, but because His thoughts toward us are the very best for us.  Everything in the Bible points us toward Him and our need for the Savior.

It was about God and what He wanted to do through each one of these well recognized people in the Bible.

And it still is all about Him.

It wasn’t even about the Israelites, God’s chosen people.

Which begs the question:

Why are the Israelites God’s chosen people?

From the beginning of the world, God and His Son knew that Jesus Christ would be coming into the world as a Man, to be our Savior and Messiah.  There had to be a virgin and that virgin had to be part of a family.  God had to choose someone, so He chose the Israelites.

What makes the Israelites God’s chosen people?  Jesus Christ, being born to the virgin Mary, who was an Israelite.  Jesus Christ is the reason that the Israelites are God’s Chosen People.  Jesus Christ is the reason there are so many promises in the Bible regarding the Israelites.

Jesus Christ is the reason God will forever protect Israel and woe be to any nation who does not stand with and defend Israel.

The whole world will understand, one day, that it really is all about Jesus Christ.  I pray you understand that truth today.

Praise the Lord!
Praise the name of the Lord;
Praise Him, O you servants of the Lord! . . .
Praise the Lord, for the Lord is good;
Sing praises to His name, for it is pleasant. . . .
I know that the Lord is great,
And our Lord is above all gods.
Whatever the Lord pleases He does,
In heaven and in earth,
In the seas and in all deep places. . . .
Blessed be the Lord out of Zion,
Who dwells in Jerusalem! Praise the Lord! (Psalm 135:1, 3, 5-6, 21).
