Lunch at the Senior Center

An Oklahoma countryside scene.100_3009

After temps in the low 40’s, the clouds finally began to break in the west Sunday afternoon. 100_2996

We were Don’s mom’s guest today at the Senior Center.  The bus picks her up at her house and brings her to the Center everyday.  She really enjoys going. 100_3002

See the gentleman in the lower left hand corner?  His name is Jack Smith and he was the sweetest man.  We thoroughly enjoyed sitting across the table from him and listened as he talked about his wife, who has been deceased for about a year.  He sure does love her and it was just precious listening to him.100_3004

Back at Mom’s, I admired Don’s sister’s veggie garden of onions, radishes and three kinds of lettuce.  100_3005

The last time we were here, there were ten hens and no rooster.  Now there are only two hens and one rooster.  Dogs got the others.  Pretty sad when you can’t even have free-range chickens in the country.100_3006

He is one handsome rooster. 100_3007
