That beautiful view of the white cliff in the morning sun.
So, I take a walk with my camera this morning, for a tour of the “amenities” of the park. We’ve seen the inside of this apartment and it’s really nice.
Inside the office is a wood-burning stove.
There are two park models available for rent. The one on the left is rented until the first of June. This one is available now. Sonny gave us a tour.
Entering the door is the kitchen/dining/living area.
Next, on the right of the hall is the bathroom.
Across the hall from the bathroom are two bunks.
At the end of the hall is the bedroom with queen-size bed.
No smoking is allowed in the park models.
The apartment and the park models are great for folks wanting to get away for awhile who don’t have RV’s. There’s also two travel trailers for rent… one has a king-size bed and a loft that sleeps several children.
Speaking of children, this low rock wall concerns me where our little Diesel is concerned. Just beyond the slope is a 30 foot drop to the water.
This would be so tempting for a young one to climb.
I wish there was a fence like this where the rock wall is.
Sonny threw a handful of fish/duck food over the cliff and the fish and ducks gobbled it up.
The white duck was a vacuum cleaner!!
Behind the Club House and next to the pool is a beautiful gazebo and yard.
The pool is another area that concerns me for small children. On this end, it’s 3 feet deep, but it drops quickly to 8 feet deep. When this property was just a ranch, there was a diving board on the pool, but that has been removed. Tom, the owner of the park, put the fence around the pool
This afternoon, I took a ride around the park on my bike. I had a hitchhiker.
There are three donkeys up in the donkey pad. See the white donkey in the background?
When she saw me petting the two little donkeys, here she came, just a-braying. Sound like she was dying.
She is very, very old. From when we were here in October until we got back, I really didn’t expect her to be alive. She eats well, she’s just old.
The sun shining on the water looked like a field of sparkling diamonds.
The local duck family was lounging across the creek.
I should have brought a good book and a lawn chair.
Owner’s daughter takes the Polaris across the creek to the sandbar in the middle.
The moon is almost full and the sun hasn’t set yet.
See JCRVP Part 2 for pictures of the new activity center.
