Dinner with family

We’ve been so busy this week!

Today, we had to make another trip to Mama Trudy’s old doctor to pick up a copy of a letter required by her old apartment complex…. again!

Before that, we picked up Don’s mom and took her to her sister’s to spend a few days while Debbie and hubby go pick up their grandson.  Mom lives with Debbie.

We picked up our mail and gave them our new address for the summer for our mail to be forwarded twice a month.

Talked to Mama Trudy on the phone.  Her electricity is back on for several days now after the big tornado that went through her town last week….  sad that there were fatalities.  Thankful that mama and my brother and nephew are safe.  Nephew’s house was extensively damaged by the 60’ tree that fell on it.  No one was home, praise God.

Stopped by Sam’s warehouse for a quick run through for a couple of items.

And tonight, we met daughter LaNae and family for dinner at Johnny Carino’s.  We thoroughly enjoyed spending the time with them.  LaNae tells such good stories about school, work, kids, Jimmy.

Would you believe that the little hostess at Carino’s came outside to take our picture?  Now that’s going above and beyond.  The wind did pick up this afternoon.

Blaine is such a good hugger.  We’re very proud of the 100 he made on his math test today in school.

Lydia had cheer practice this afternoon after school and she worked hard.  She had to explain about “stunts” to me. (Her mama was in this picture with her but I had to crop her out… she would have killed me if I had posted it.)

 

We’re missing them already.

Tomorrow is travel day.  Destination:  Waco.
