Today is Walk Away the Pounds… morning.
Also, this morning, Don and I did a little knocking on doors to visit folks. While walking, Jeannie and Laurel drove by, stopped and invited us to stop in at their house around the corner. Had a good visit with them and Jeannie prepared us a much needed glass of ice water.
We, also, visited with Newt and Joan. Newt was in the hospital a few days ago, but he’s doing much better. He loves to play the piano and played a special at church earlier in the season.
Maxine wasn’t home and neither was Marlys. Folks are pretty busy here. We chatted with folks we met as we walked.
Wild flowers are beginning to bloom. These are small Evening Primrose.
There are two dead trees on the main street in the park, due to the ice back in January.
Tonight is Bible study night at the Q! Carol and Roger arrive.
The bikers arrive… Monte and Lyla on motor less bikes. Jan and Warren on the Harley.
Warren is a member of the Christian Motorcyclist Association.
We finished our study, tonight, about the “end times.” This was a great group as everyone interacted, discussed, and asked questions.
Left to right: Monte, Lyla, Jan, Warren, Carol and Roger. Lyla and Carol are sisters.
Next week, this group will go out to eat together as the season begins to come to an end.
