Sunday is here, even in Michigan ;-)

Sunday morning found us back down to Mr. Pib’s for breakfast.  Larry and Elaine were already there, so Jack gave him the gift he had bought for him.  The waitress is examining the Chicken Poop Lip Balm he found at Tractor Supply.  The Name....Chicken Poop comes from Jamie's goofy grandpa replying to her complaint of having chapped lips. He'd say, "I know how to fix those chapped lips, I'll rub some chicken poop on `em so you won't be lickin` 'em." Brilliant, don't you think?

The local guys gather every morning for coffee at the “round table” at Mr. Pib’s.  The have a big time.100_0160

Back to Jack and Kathy’s to get ready for church.  I took a few pictures around the house.100_0162

I don’t think I have ever seen ruffled petunias.  Kathy’s were so pretty.2010 July 25 Sunday Leroy to Six Lakes-1

Jack’s rhubarb garden.  He makes/made a rhubarb cake that is to”die for.”  The leaves are really large like elephant ears!100_0173

Around there flag pole were these tiny mushrooms hiding in the grass.100_0176

Across the street… is that blooms on that tree?  Must investigate.100_0181

Berries!  There’s several of these trees on their street and Kathy didn’t know what they were, either.100_0180

The Blue Spruce up here in Michigan is just beautiful.  Don and I are thoroughly enjoying discovering this state and all it’s beauty.100_0182Rose-breasted Grosbeak female young bird flew into the garage and would not fly out until it’s mother flew in and guided her out. She was in the garage almost all day, poor thing.100_0197

Edgett Wesleyan Church out in the rural area.  We had met Pastor Dan over at the Gospel Jamboree last weekend and we really enjoyed hearing him preach.  We totally understand why Jack and Kathy worship and serve here.100_0203

When we got back to the house, I had to take a picture of Jack’s shop.  They had cleaned it all up and organized everything because they knew I would be taking pictures.           2010 July 25 Sunday Leroy to Six Lakes2-1

Back in the truck with Jack and Kathy, we head down to Six Lakes to visit Laurel and Ron Hayward (on the right with granddaughter Elainie between them), and Glenda Bookey.  We only got to spend a brief time with Ron and Laurel at Sunscape last winter, but we sure do love them and hope we will see them again this side of heaven.100_0221

They are spend summer time Pleasure Point RV Resort where Jack and Kathy still own a fifth wheel and two lots.100_0223

We got to visit with Glenda Bookey from Sunscape… well, she’s from Michigan, but we met her at Sunscape in AZ.  It was wonderful to see her again.100_0225

Pleasure Point RV resort flowers.  Stunning.2010 July 25 Sunday Leroy to Six Lakes1-1

It was getting late, so we headed back to LeRoy.100_0252

We are in Amish country and got pretty excited to see a hay field with shocks of hay gathered.100_0257

Elk?  Four elk just laying in the sun in a preserve.100_0264

This small church was so pretty and I wouldn’t be outdone, even though the sun was directly behind it.  Quality is not the best, but you can still appreciate the beauty of the building.100_0270

Back to Leroy, we start getting ready for our road trip with the Gordon’s and the Gingrich’s tomorrow.  They’re going to show us some high points of Michigan!!

It’s so good to be with these sweet friends.  Sometimes Larry is kind of ornery, but that’s okay. :-)  We still love him and we’re having a great time.
