Worship was really good this morning. Music was uplifting even though our choir numbers are down due to residents leaving for the summer. It’s wonderful to know that people may have to leave, but God never does and I thank Him for His presence this morning.
Don and Betty Livingston’s daughter, Judy, sang beautifully, The Lord’s Prayer. Wow, what a voice.
Don’s text was 1 Colossians 4:2-5… Partnering Through Prayer, challenging us all to pray for each other, devotedly; pray with purpose; pray and proclaim Christ; and live wisely.
When we came out of church, we noticed that the Saguaro by the clubhouse had popped three blooms.
We met good friends for lunch at Barney’s Buffet. Here we are with Karen and George Smith.
We sat across the table from Linnea Bolm and Mary Sorenson.
Fran Bolm is the chairman of the church steering committee. He and Linnea are talking with Don.
Lovely lady, Barb. She was at the other end of the table, so I didn’t get to visit with her at lunch, but I did get a great picture of her. That’s a “what are you doing?” look. :-)
Bertha and Roger Arnold. Dear couple who both attended our Bible studies on Wednesday mornings.
Garth Hall update: Don and I took a ride in the golf cart late this afternoon, needed water from the reverse osmosis filter, so we drove by Shari and Garth’s and Shari and her daughter, Theresa, were sitting outside. We stopped and visited with them and Shari said that today was a little better than yesterday. He’s been up and even walking a little today. As soon as a room is available, he will be out of ICU. Thank you for continued prayers for Garth and Shari.
