Jim and Marcie Grimes out walking early this morning.
Jim came over to give us a report on Toma's sprained ankle. Yep, it's sprained and she must keep it elevated with ice for 20 minutes/no ice for 20 minutes rotation.
I can hardly contain myself with all be beautiful flowers that are now in bloom. If I post every day, it's because I am so busy taking pictures and will get caught up eventually.
Are these amazing or what?!!
Not native to the desert, but thriving with Toma's care, her hibiscus.
Prickly pear rose with a visitor.
I frightened the dove that was sitting on this nest of two eggs. She startled me, too, when she left her nest.
We sure are going to miss the Cactus Garden.
Vivid color unmatched anywhere.
Also, not native to the desert, but thriving under Emmi's care.
On Toma's patio. At least she has beautiful surroundings while she is immobilized with her bad ankle.
Looking up, this turkey buzzard caught my eye.
At 3:00 this afternoon, the Central Arizona College Jazz Band had a concert in our Community Center for about ninety minutes. They were good! Especially the saxophonist.
Continuing with our day of "culture," Nancy and George Reid invited us to go with them tonight. The Casa Grande First Presbyterian Church was the location of a fabulous concert tonight, enjoyed by a packed house that included Don, George, Nancy and myself.
Pastor Ben Seller and his wife, Laurel, gave a wonderful recital of songs from ten or twelve genre. Both have singing voices of opera quality. [Don met Pastor Ben last year when investigating the new Logos Academy in Casa Grande.]
1 Corinthians 2:9 (NLT)
9 That is what the Scriptures mean when they say,
“No eye has seen, no ear has heard,
and no mind has imagined
what God has prepared
for those who love him.”
