First rattle out the box: electricity is off!
Upon investigation, I find the electric utility service and repair techs in the park and working hard to get our electric service back on.
On a mission of love, I went up to the club house to get Don a cup of coffee while he was getting ready for the day. So he sat down in the sunshine and enjoyed his coffee.
We drove to IHOP for breakfast and on the way, we both noticed this trail of smoke at the end of a jet vapor trail which ended abruptly. We haven’t heard of a plane crash, however. Looks weird, doesn’t it.
Another shot, somewhat more dim, but still visible.
Back in the park we walk over to see what George and Nancy are up to and were intercepted by a gentleman who told us that Garth Hall had just been taken, by ambulance, to the ER in Casa Grande after falling off a ladder. Back we go to Casa Grande. After x-rays, it appears that Garth doesn’t have any broken bones, but doctor was concerned about bleeding in his head, so he was transferred to the St. Joseph Neurological Center in Phoenix. Update: There was a slight bleeding, but it has stopped. However, he does have six broken ribs. Ouch.
Remember the post regarding daughter, Stephanie’s surprise birthday party? I wasn’t joking. She was surprised.
Daughter Leslie posted a couple of Easter shots of Camden and Emma. I can hardly believe the great shots she caught of Camden, he’s so active, hardly ever stopped long enough for a good picture. (I’m expecting you to comment about these pictures.)
Knowing how much I love flowers, friend Beth McHenry, emailed a couple of pictures of her favorite amaryllis, also known as Naked Lady because there are no leaves on their long stem. Isn’t it beautiful!? Thanks, Beth!! Don’t eat them… they’re poisonous!
So, that’s our Monday.
Thank you for your prayers for Garth Hall.
