Hello Friday, you old friend

Don was so busy out visiting this morning that we were almost late leaving for Couples’ Bible Study, the final one for the season.  We invited George and Nancy to go with us.  Our study of The Sermon on the Mount has been really good and we have enjoyed every minute of it with these good friends.  (John, in the red shirt, had some blogging questions as he has begun blogging.  He has a Mac, so I couldn’t help him much.)000_0002

We took George and Nancy to BeDillon’s for lunch to celebrate Nancy’s birthday.  Better late than never.  They weren’t here on the 1st. (please excuse the blurred picture; out waitress couldn’t hold my camera steady, I guess) The food was good and the company and conversation even better.000_0006000_0010

We were all excited to see a model of their new home.  It is so pretty!  Here’s the first official photo of the Reid’s in their new house… well, use your imagination.  It’s scheduled to be completed in August.000_0008

The pool behind their club house is very nice with a waterfall and ginormous hot tub.  And, just for Killer Reid, a ping pong table in the club house.000_0012

Also, saw this tiny cottontail bunny.  Isn’t this little flower eating fur friend cute?000_0017

Beautiful white tea roses for your viewing pleasure.000_0016

Don thought the Gordon’s and the Gingrich’s were leaving in the morning, but they aren’t leaving until Sunday morning.  We’ll be in church then, so I took pictures tonight, but we’ll say our “see you later’s” tomorrow.100_2668

Mr. Jack, in his natural position in his recliner, watching the races.100_2669We are going to miss this couple.  They are role models to anyone who wants to learn how to give back to the communities they live in and generous to a fault.  May God continue to bless them abundantly.

Don is feeling good, but he’s really tired tonight so we rested at the Q.

Family news:  It’s official.  Leslie (daughter), Khalil, Emma and Camden are moving back to Waco!  Khalil has been offered a new position (job), one that he’s very excited about and one that will allow him weekends off with his family.  Yeah and thank you, Jesus!  Another praise, Leslie has an interview at a Waco school next week.  May God’s will be done.

The Lord can be trusted with our lives because of His own life, and we praise Him:
I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart;
I will tell of all Your marvelous works. . . .
The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed,
A refuge in times of trouble.
And those who know Your name will put their trust in You;
For You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You (Psalm 9:1, 9-10).
