Latin for:
Glory to God in the Highest!
Christmas morning dawns and it's a beautiful, warm winter day in Texas. It's been wonderful celebrating the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ, who was born with the cross in view and on His mind. Thank you, Jesus, for making a way for us to be reconciled to God the Father, even though we are sinful creatures. Your grace is beyond description. Help us to celebrate You in our lives everyday as we love You and others in our service to both. I love you Lord Jesus. Amen.
Well, we were up early and over to Leslie & Khalil's before 7:00 AM. Only Leslie was up and she reported that it had been a rough night. Emma was awake almost all night wanting to know if it was time to open presents yet. When Grammy got there at 3:30 AM, Emma was standing up on her bed looking out the window to see if the reindeer had eaten the food yet. "The reindeer food is gone, Grammy! and I didn't even hear the bells!" She also turned on her TV in the middle of the night. Finally, Leslie told her if she didn't go to sleep that all the gifts under the tree would magically disappear. That did it. She went to sleep.
Don was right, Santa didn't eat all the cookies, but he did drink the milk.
And then they were up! Looks like something a little boy would love, doesn't it? Guess what? The big boy loves it, too. But his favorite was this inexpensive little plastic guitar. He would hardly put it down after he opened it."Thank you, Daddy!" Khalil's chef's cap. Christmas morning was lots of fun and many more pictures than I have posted here.
The best story of the day happened when Emma got up this morning. Leslie (mommy) begin to but two and two together and she got Emma right in front of her and asked her,
"Emma, did you look behind the sheet over the door last night when you got up?"
She slowly turned her head to the side and got that look on her face. (Oh how I wish I had a picture of that face.) Busted!! She said she was looking for Grammie and thought she might be on the couch in the living room. When Leslie asked her if she saw what Santa brought her... there comes that look again. It was so funny.
