Today is Bible Study day for the Ladies and the Men. Jim Taylor has asked Don to finish out the season for him as the facilitator/teacher. We look forward to Wednesday and this time of study together. We just have a great time in the Word of God.
The Ladies' Bible Study is at 9:00 AM, so while Don was at the Men's Bible Study, I took a walk with Donna, Judy and Lori for about a mile. After that, I sat on the steps to the Q and took pictures of..
the palm tree on the site next door;

and another bird on the rocks. Isn't this little fellow cute, just looking at me with it's head cocked to one side.
Don returned to the Q and is chatting with Garth Hall for a few minutes.
Jerry and Beverly Topper came by to get us and take us out to lunch and, of course, since they had never been there, we introduced them to The Creative Cafe. Thanks, Bev and Jerry! We had a great time getting to know you better.
After we got back to the Q, we then drove back to Casa Grande to visit Jan McKimmy in the hospital. We were happy to find out that Jan had been released to go home.
I just had to take this picture on the way back to the park. What's so special about this picture? Grass. Green grass growing along the side of the highway! Not a common site in the desert, but the happy result of recent rains.
I have seen this dead tree, every time we have gone to Casa Grande, but today, I took a picture from about a hundred yards away as we past by. When I saw it on the computer screen, I noticed something under the tree so I cropped the picture to make it larger and that 'something' turned out to be a chair. How odd. A chair under a dead tree in the middle of a field in the desert.
Tonight, we had Lori and Norm over for coffee and cards. The guys won.
Wednesday was wonderful even if the guys did win.
