Green Desert

These may look like very uninteresting pictures to you, but I want to document the green growing wild in the desert.  During January of 2010, Arizona has experienced it's eighth - wettest January on record. And it's probably the same for February and March.100_1449100_1450100_1451100_1452100_1454100_1453

The little bird on the right is the same kind of bird that I photographed at the Cartwright's on Thursday.  This little bird looks healthy with full eyes.100_1457

I know, I do have some seemingly odd pictures today.  Observe carrot pieces that I distributed in the desert in hopes of luring a jack rabbit for photographing.  100_1459

We saw the jackrabbit out in the desert brush, but I could never get a picture and he would not come close enough to eat the carrots while we were there.  Oh, well.100_1461

Rick and Wendy invited us over for fried fish tonight.  While there, Rick gave Don a gift that was actually from Jo and George Becker and Ginny and Lenny Dexter... a really cute book and a card reminding him that they are praying for his surgery next Monday.  We both got a big kick out of the book.100_1464

Here's a sampling of just four of the 109 pages in this little book about friends.  Too cute.100_1468100_1469

Oh, yes.  Did I mention that the girls won tonight!!?

See you in church in the morning.
