Ms. Loli invited me to come see her new prize in the cactus garden behind her park model. This is a Red Kangaroo Paw. The red flowers feel and look like velvet.
I don't know what this is. The leaves on all the tips of the branches of this bush have turned yellow making them appear to be flowers. Quite pretty.
This collage is of Ms. Loli's Blue Hibiscus. They looked purple to me and very pretty.
Both Miss Loli and Miss Monie have a Texas Mountain Laurel tree in full bloom. They appear to be a different variety.
The pink Penstemon are really showing off today.
And the Pink Cherry blossoms were beautiful as they shared their fragrance.
The trichocereus buds bottom left in this collage belong to my cactus. I look out everyday wondering if today will be the day they will burst out in bloom. Cacti in the park are beginning to show.
Here's a collage of birds and rabbits that crossed my path this afternoon.
Miss Monie amazed me. She's 76 years young and was up and down from this position like there was nothing to it. Do those look like 76 year old legs to you? Her garden is awesome, too.
Miss Monie had a few Desert Poppies, but most of these I took as I walked along the road outside the park. Desert Poppies are various shades of yellow and white.
And look like this in a field or mountain side.
This is my Mystery Flower for today.
The honey bees loved this Mystery Flower.
If you know what this is, please leave me a comment. See the bee?
While by the road taking pictures of the poppies, Dan and Barb Webber stopped to chat. Barb is hiding, but...
grandson, Brandon, flashed me a handsome grin. Isn't he just too cute with that dimple?
As I made my way back to the Q, I passed the clubhouse and all the beautiful flowers that Toma has work so hard to provide for us.
As the sun nears setting on this partly cloudy day, this odd shaped cloud caught my eye.
I am so thankful for the beauty of today.
