It is good....

At the Casa Grande Ruins National Monument near Coolidge, AZ, this morning, we saw this Yellow-bellied Sapsucker woodpecker when we first arrived.  He was busy.100_1555

I'm guessing this is the tallest Saguaro I've ever seen or been this close to.  That's Rick (McSteamy) and Logan beside the giant.100_1561

Today is the first outing for Don since his surgery.  He felt pretty good today and enjoyed getting out.100_1562

The last time we were here, there was absolutely no green grass anywhere.100_1572

I wonder what this plant is?100_1573

What is Stephanie stalking?100_1577

A cute little ground squirrel to most.  A large rodent to others.100_1578

The ocotillo are in various stages of flowering:

From the Ruins, we headed to In and Out Burger for lunch.  Steph and Logan stayed in CG to take in a movie while the rest of us went back to Sunscape.

Rick and Taylor went over to Arizona City where they met Rick Fury for nine holes of golf.

When Steph and Logan got back to the park, Logan could hardly wait to get into the pool.

Tonight, we introduced the 'kids' to (guess)....100_1610

It was a hit will everyone.  And we had fun, too!2010 Mar 19 Neil n Robin

By the way, I had my first every Portobello Sandwich and it was delicious!

Back at the Q we visited and Rick and Taylor enjoyed more of Jack's strawberry-rhubarb cake.  The rest of us were just too full from dinner.  We also went to see Jack and Kathy to thank them again for the delicious meals Jack has prepared for us all week.  Jack made copies of recipes for Stephanie and he also gave the boys several dozen peanut butter-Hershey kisses cookies for their trip back to Oklahoma tomorrow.  That Jack is just too much!

It was a very good Thursday.

It is good to give thanks to the Lord,
And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High;
To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning,
And Your faithfulness every night. . . .
For You, Lord, have made me glad through Your work;
I will triumph in the works of Your hands (Psalm 92:1-2, 4).
