Snookie, the writer

I called Snookie today to see how the transition was going and how much dust was in there park model from the dust storms they've had here.  She reported, "Hardly any dust!"  Wow!  That's a tight park model.

Snookie was just bursting at the seems with accolades from readers of her blog, me being one of them, Don being another.  But the one that had her just giddy with delight came from a published journalist who lives at Quail Run and is highly respected by all, Frank Maguire.  You may remember posts about him in months past. Not only is he a journalist, but an accomplished musician, as well.

Well, Frank came to visit Snookie and Bob today and he told Snookie that she was a wonderful writer, that when he read her blog, and he'd been faithfully reading, that he felt like he was right with them on their journey.  He also asked her if she would write for his paper!!!  She was so funny, in true Snookie fashion, and said, "Oh, LaVon, my head is so swelled, I'm going to have to use the big sliding glass door to get in and out of this place!"  And when she came to visit us last night, when Don opened the door, she handed him this very sharp utility knife and told him he just might need to carve the door opening bigger so she could get in!  What a hoot!

Really folks, if you haven't read The Quinns' Awesome Journey, you are in for a treat.

Snookie, I had to see your blog - it is great! You have inspired me to get back into our blog and be faithful about. Your pictures of AZ make me wish we were there. It's 86 degrees with 80% humidity here in GA.
