Tonight at the Community Center, about 100 friends and family members celebrated Herb Ganske's 80th birthday.

We sat across the table from Maggie and Jack who met when she was thirteen and they've been an "item" ever since.
After the wonderful meal, prepared and served by Herb's family members, Crazy Mary arrived, looking for Herbie, who proposed to her when she was 16 and she's been looking for him ever since. It was a hoot.
Herb may have been accused of being full of hot air, but he had a little trouble blowing out his candles.
Let's be honest.... a fresh, young, beautiful face is a rarity around here. Well, not the beautiful part, but the young part. Plus, I've always been enamored with youth. Anne Marie was beautiful... to my eye, flawless. I love the candid photo.
It was a great party. Happy Birthday, Herb, and many more!
Today is also the birth day of several important (to me) people.
