Wow! It rained here last night. Also had "rotation" not far from here, but God took care of it before it got to Coffeyville. So, our lake was back this morning. Today, we drove back over to Parsons, Kansas, to "Aunt" Sherrie's beauty shop, Studio One, for a much needed hair cut. She gave me just the haircut I wanted, exactly! Sherrie is my DSIL's (dear son-in-law) aunt. Her salon is located right on Main Street. Parsons has done a great job of preserving Main Street and using the buildings that have been there a long time. Their Parsons Kansas sign from the east.The First Baptist Church building is huge. We didn't go down this street so I don't know what church this is. [Billie, if you know the name, leave a comment at then end of this post, please.:-)] It just looked impressive as we crossed the intersection. This is now the Middle School, but in years past it was the Senior High School and Junior College. You can't see it, but that's etched in the gable or maybe it was on that piece at the top of the columns. The wind for the past few days and the storm last night has just about stripped all the color from the trees. There was this one in the park, though. A few shots on our way back to Coffeyville. Because of the rain last night, all of the creeks and rivers are full and flowing.
We followed this man into Coffeyville. There were Bible verses painted all over his bike and trailer. Bless his heart, the wind was pushing him all over the lane, but he stayed between the lines. We were passing him and I didn't get all of the trailer... sorry. #6 of 12 "Commandments":
Proverbs 3:5-6 (New Living Translation)
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart;
do not depend on your own understanding.
6 Seek his will in all you do,
and he will show you which path to take.

You forgot to put a picture of the perfect haircut on the blog. LOL. It is so hard to find a good stylist when "on the road". Take care. Love and miss you guys.
