In Norman Thursday evening

We arrived safely at Mama's and it was so good to see her.  I called LaNae when we arrived and the whole family came over to see us.  Got big old hugs from Lydia and Blaine.  They are growing so fast.  Mike's elbow looks nasty with a bunch of stitches in it where surgery was done to move a nerve off the bone to relieve pain and numbness.  In eight weeks from the last surgery, he will have rotator cuff repair done.  Ouch.

Here are a couple of pictures of our Lydia and Blaine taken by their Aunt Leslie while they were there a couple of weeks ago for Pook's birthday.

Blaine - age 6 1/2blain_5829_hard_bwblaine_5843blaine_5827Sister and Brother l_&_b_5866 sept 2 08 I love the black and white pics.l_&_b_5866_sepia Lydia told us that she is taking and loving swimming lessons at the Y.  She has learned the breast stroke and the butterfly stroke.  Let's see.... summer Olympics 2012...  it could happen!  After breaking his arm and just getting his cast off, Blaine has decided that he doesn't want to play football because he doesn't want to get hurt.  LaNae shrugs, not knowing what to do with a kid that doesn't like athletics.  I told her not to fret... by the time he's 12 or 13 he will realize that the little girls really dig those athletes and he'll play .... something.  I expect him to play basketball or baseball, but if he doesn't, it's ok.  We still love him and know that God has a plan for him.

After LaNae and family left, we settled down at the kitchen table for.... yes, you guessed it.... a game of Moon dominoes.

Soon it was time to blow up the air mattress (oh yeah) and go to bed.
