Sunday at the Lake

Don and Bruce are ready for church.  As you can tell, it's very cloudy this morning and it rained while we were in church.going to church Church was great and the Bible study discussion, lively following worship service.  The folks at Peace Lutheran Church are very loving and friendly.

I got this shot of DeAnn while she was getting lunch on the table.  Looks like she could just start talking to you, doesn't she?  Love, love, love this lady.DeAnnAfter lunch, DeAnn and Bruce scurried around getting ready to leave.  They most graciously invited us to stay another night so we would have a full day to travel back to Oklahoma tomorrow. DeAnn is loading pictures of their old couch and love seat on Craig's List.Don and DeAnnLindi needed her share of attention.DeAnn and LindyAnd she took turns going from DeAnn to Bruce.100_1424In the afternoon, traffic on the lake picked up once the sun made and appearance.100_1426Unfortunately, it came time to say our good-byes.good-byesgood-byesOutside, there were others saying their good-byes, as well.dogs everywhereSeems this place has gone to the dogs and Lindi wants no part of any of it.i said... dogs everywhereIsn't this too cute?!!Bruce and LindyOne last picture before they get in the car.100_1439This isn't the time that I whispered in DeAnn's ear, "Snookie says BLOG!" but she laughed just this big when I did. After all, her last blog entry was back in May sometime.  That's just too long.100_1440Parting shot.  Thanks, DeAnn and Bruce for a memory we will never forget.  You are the best!!100_1442DeAnn had gotten steaks out of the freezer for us this morning and we sure enjoyed them for dinner tonight. Missing Bruce and DeAnn, though.100_1444The evening on the deck was perfect.100_1445I guess every great weekend must have a dark cloud... after dinner was cleared away and the dishwasher started, we four sat down for a game of spades.  That was good, the outcome.... well, it was good if you're Don and Rick.  Have you EVER heard of any one person bidding EIGHT??? TWICE????  Both Rick and Don had an eight bid hand during the evening.  They also bid '10 for 200' five times... and made it!!  The girls got creamed tonight.  Ok, I'm ok now.  Do I sound ok?  Really,  I'm ok.  I mean, Wendy or I either one could BUY a good hand.  How does that happen??? .......  I'm ok.

We are still so very blessed.
