Quick mid-day post

Don is currently enroute to Eufaula, Oklahoma, alone, to spend a couple of days with Richard McCool, the director of CRM's Hands On and free clinic ministry there. Please say a prayer for Don.  Richard is going through he the "fire" right now in his personal life, so please say a prayer for him.  As he described it on the phone this morning, he has been in the furnace with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.  Jesus was there and he reached out his hand to Richard and Richard took the Lord's hand and walked in and the fire consumed his 'self' that Richard offered to Him by the simple act of putting his hand in the hand of Christ and walking into the 'fire.'  Richard came out of the 'fire' a new man, rejoicing.

[I love the story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego.  The children's version is for me. :-)]

PS - I am at Mama Trudy's without a vehicle.  Don really hated to leave me without wheels, but I assured him that we would be fine.  Gracious neighbors, Pat (next door) and Carmen (across the street), have both offered their cars if we should need to go anywhere.  I'm excited about this time with Mama.  She's feeling a little light headed today, so "thank you" for your prayers.
