I was up until 2:45 this morning, so I didn't hear Don's phone ring when his aunt called to ask him to drive her to therapy for her shoulder this morning. She lost her husband last September and has recently had surgery on her shoulder. Her yards needed mowing badly and Don really want to get on the Cub Cadet and mow it for her, but she wouldn't let him. Riding a lawn mower is something he can do and he loves doing it, but instead she stubbornly called and hired someone to come mow her yard. Frustrating.
We are currently praying for a request my brother told me about Sunday afternoon when he called. A young mother in the town where they live was trying to light the oven in her mobile home and it exploded. Lindsay has two children, Emma and Ewan, and was watching another little girl. This website tells about their conditions, however, it hasn't been updated to reflect that Ewan died from chemical poisoning on Saturday night. Lindsay's parents are missionaries in Guam with Baptist Missions to Forgotten Peoples of which my brother is the Field Director for SE Asia. He may be required to go to Guam to replace the parents as they flew immediately to the States to be with their daughter. Thank you for praying for the whole situation. God only knows what this family is going through right now.
Rick Fury would also appreciate your prayers at this time. He's experiencing extreme headaches and nausea, with dehydration. He and Wendy are currently in a lower elevation for a few days to see if the high altitude (8500') they are parked in is not agreeing with him. When Wendy called, Rick was already feeling better. After a couple of days, they will go back up and see what happens, but are prepared to leave if the symptoms return.
